We've reported before
about Warner Bros.' so-called "app editions" of some of the biggest movies. Now Warners has added two new films to their app catalogue: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 1
and Due Date
App editions allow you to experience both the full films and an array of extras on your iPad, iPhone, and iTouch (although the iRack
is not yet supported). You can download free versions of the apps which will allow you to watch the first five minutes of the movie and play with some of the bonus content, then if you want you can purchase the full version.
They aren't scrimping on the bonus material, either. Deathly Hallows
includes "over an hour of exclusive behind-the-scenes videos, 26 compositions from the full original motion picture soundtrack, the digital soundtrack booklet, production photos, movie scenes, and a collection of movie posters." Due Date
fights back with "15 exclusive behind-the-scenes special feature bonus videos, concept art, productions stills, quote sharing and movie posters."
