First Wave Coming To DVD According To Amazon Canada
Remember First Wave? The Canadian/American science fiction show aired from 1998 to 2001 on the Sci Fi Channel, back in the days when that network actually aired science fiction shows as opposed to wrestling and cooking programs. Exec produced by none other than Francis Ford Coppola, the show involved aliens, clones, the Illuminati, the prophecies of Nostradamus, and former porn star Traci Lords. She wasn't actually a plot point, mind you, just a cast member. Although I'm pretty sure she was foretold by Nostradamus.
The show ran for three seasons on Sci Fi before falling prey to low ratings and being canceled. I never saw a single episode, and honestly didn't know anyone who did. But if I've learned one thing in this business, it's that every canceled show has a die-hard following somewhere, especially when it's a genre show like First Wave. So, for all you First Wave-rs out there who have been living amongst us in secret, it looks like you're getting a DVD release of your favorite show this May 17th, courtesy of Alliance Films Media.
Amazon Canada has added a pre-order listing for First Wave: Season 1 right here. It's listing for $25.99 Canadian, and there's no word yet on bonus features. You can take a look at the snazzy cover art below.
