What's Inside The Three Upcoming Editions Of World Of Final Fantasy
Square Enix rolled out details on three different editions for the upcoming multi-universe take on the iconic Final Fantasy series. Each iteration contains something special for gamers looking to rekindle nostalgia, while also hoping to add something memorable to their collection.
IGN is reporting that the three different versions available for pre-order for World of Final Fantasy includes a Day One Edition, which will be available for $59.99 on both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita. The Vita version will be $39.99.
You'll get a physical copy of World of Final Fantasy along with in-game bonuses such as a Sephiroth summon -- the main boss from the Final Fantasy VII series -- a white Chocobo, a Glow Moogle that adds sparkles to your stacks, Red Bonnetberry, and a bonus Japanese voice-over DLC pack. That last one is going to spark a lot of stoked excitement from fans of anime and traditional JRPGs because many die-hards prefer subs over dubs. In this case, if you get the day-one edition of World of Final Fantasy you'll gain access to the original Japanese voice-overs.
The Limited Edition of World of Final Fantasy also contains everything in the Day One Edition, but with the added bonus of a special 24-page artbook. If you pre-order before October 10th the package will arrive on the day of release or possibly a day after. The Limited Edition is also only $59.99, so technically there's no difference between getting the Day One Edition or the Limited Edition since they cost the same.
The final pack is the Collector's Edition. It's the granddaddy of them all.
So what do you get in this mammoth World of Final Fantasy pack? Well, for $119.99 you get everything mentioned from the previous two versions of the game, but with the added 80-page hardcover artbook, which includes characters and concept art from all of the Final Fantasy games referenced within the title, as well as a soundtrack for the game containing original tunes scored for the upcoming JRPG, and three mini-figurines based on Cloud from _Final Fantasy VII, _Lightning from the _Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, and Squall from Final Fantasy VIII. The figures measure 49.4mm for Cloud, 39.7mm for Lightning and 48mm for Squall, respectively.
The Collector's Edition also comes with a cool pop-out book featuring the characters and worlds of World of Final Fantasy, it's something I'm sure young kids will most certainly enjoy. This is all in addition to a physical copy of the game being included in the package. The Collector's Edition is available exclusively from the Square Enix Store.

The colorful new JRPG from the Japanese game maker is a love-letter to the classic games from back during their run on the SNES and PSX era, with a sprinkling of references to the newer games that came out during the seventh generation of gaming.
World of Final Fantasy will actually be Square's second Final Fantasy game to come out this year, releasing on October 25 in North America and October 28 in Europe. It will be following a month after the release of Final Fantasy XV for the Xbox One and PS4, which is due to drop on September 30.
