Last week Gearbox Software released a new playable character for Borderlands 2 called the Mechromancer. If you haven't downloaded it yet, a new video will show you what you're missing.

Gaige the Mechromancer is a cybernetic whiz kid. She heads into battle with a giant robot providing backup. This robot, Deathtrap, can slash enemies with its claws or zap them with a laser beam.

The Mechromancer skill tree focuses on making both Gaige and Deathtrap more powerful. Some of the learned abilities require cooperation. For example, "One Two Boom" makes Deathtrap shoot out an orb of electricity. If Gaige shoots the orb, it explodes and causes massive damage to nearby enemies.

All pre-order customers can download the Mechromancer for no charge. Otherwise, you'll need to pay 800 MS Points or $10.
