Destiny House Of Wolves Features Revealed By Patch 1.1.2

Destiny's pre-House of Wolves patch 1.1.2 turned out to be very informative. Players have combed through the update's data to find out major details about the new expansion.

The findings, compiled on Reddit, suggest that House of Wolves will actually add two new social spaces to the game Queen's Bay, located in the Reef, will be where you access most of the expansion's new activities, including the Prison of Elders and Trials of Osiris. The second social space is called Halls of Amentet, a location apparently restricted to Trials of Osiris participants.

We're still not exactly sure what the Trials of Osiris are. The patch's description of the Crucible activity sheds a bit of light: "Only the worthy may face the Trials of Osiris, for only the worthy are strong enough to endure what is to come. A string of victories will earn great rewards - but lose too many matches, and you're out."

It sounds a bit like the Arena from Hearthstone then: the longer you avoid being knocked out, the better your rewards. Are the Halls of Amentet reserved for people with a certain level of performance in the Trials? Or does it act as a kind of waiting room between matches?

Bungie said earlier this week that the Prison of Elders is a cooperative battle arena. The patch says players will face "solar system's deadliest enemies" there and earn "the greatest treasures of the Reef" through victory.

In House of Wolves, players help the Queen of the Awoken in fighting the Fallen. Patch 1.1.2 mentions three story missions that will take players from Earth to Venus. The new co-op Strike, "The Shadow Thief," pits players against an infamous Fallen mercenary called Taniks-Syn.

Crucible enthusiasts, meanwhile, will have access to three new maps: "The Timekeeper," "Thieves' Den," and "Widow's Court." Two modes, "Ancient Relics" and "Elimination," are both mentioned but without any details.

The full list of new loot in House of Wolves wasn't mentioned. However, the patch did mention a Sparrow upgrade and a whopping 46 ship schematics. Previous leaks revealed that the expansion will add plenty of armor and weapons as well.

Bungie plans to many of House of Wolves' details over the next four weeks. We'll actually get to see gameplay footage of all of these new features during these reveals as well. The expansion will then launch on May 19th.

Update 1.1.2 was released on all platforms yesterday. You can find the full list of changes included with the patch at Bungie's website.
