Divinity: Original Sin is receiving a free DLC pack today. "The Bear and the Burglar" adds two more companions for players to recruit.
The first new companion is Bairdotr, a ranger you'll find at the Legion barracks. She's armed with claws and a bow.
"She must navigate your world -- a world of wonder and mysteries both fantastic and terrible -- if she's to save Homeforest," said developer Larian Studios on Kickstarter, where the game was originally funded. "The druid of the forest has been kidnapped, and Bairdotr must follow a scant trail of clues if she's to bring him back -- clues that take her to the very heart of Rivellon's Source conspiracy."
Wolfgraff, meanwhile, is a rogue. He's out in Cyseal hinterlands, stealing coins from a wishing well. If you're looking for sarcastic quips, you should look elsewhere; Wolfgraff is a mute due to a magical mishap during his youth.
You'll have to manually download the DLC through either GOG or Steam to get the new characters. They'll appear in Cyseal after you've started a new game. The DLC is available in English, German, French and Russian.
Larian Studios also introduced a big change for co-op today. You'll no longer need to read dialogue from the journal or above players' heads anymore. Instead, you can push a button and see the conversation in its own dialogue box.
"This certainly will not be our last update on <>Divinity: Original Sin. We're still working on a slew of new skills and a variety of difficulty modes to ramp up the challenge-- keep an eye out for those in the coming weeks!"

Original Sin launched this June on PC and Mac. The player is a Source Hunter that must track down evil magic-users. The turn-based combat requires players to use the environment and combine spells to prevail. Players can also create their own quests and share them online. One player is using that toolset to remake the original Diablo.
