Capcom's action-RPG for the Xbox 360 and PS3, Dragon's Dogma, has been set for a May release. The company sent out word that gamers looking for an alternative to the medieval fantasy RPG from EA (Kingdoms of Amalur) will have to wait all the way until late spring to get their hands on Capcom's RPG.

What's more is that anyone who purchases Dragon's Dogma will gain access to a early preview demo of Resident Evil 6, which is set for release on November 20th for home consoles and PC. If you purchase Dragon's Dogma you'll receive a token that will enable you to download the demo of RE6 up to 60 days earlier than other platform owners. PS3 gamers will have to wait until September 4th to get their hands on the demo.

There are also some pre-order bonuses in place, as stated in the press release...
For those wishing to reserve their day one copy of Dragon’s Dogma, the following pre-order initiatives will be available: GameStop is offering the ‘Pawn Upgrade Pack’ which will give players additional Rift Crystals allowing them to rent higher level experience Pawns from the outset. The ‘Armor Upgrade Pack’ offered through Best Buy and the ‘Weapon Upgrade Pack’ from will deliver higher level armour and weapons respectively giving players a real advantage when tackling the toughest of enemies. Please check local retailers for details.

Dragon's Dogma is an action-oriented RPG with a heavy focus on combat, almost strikingly similar to EA and 38 Studios' upcoming Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Medieval fantasy RPG fans certainly aren't short on options these days.

You can look for Dragon's Dogma to land on retail shelves for $59.99 starting May 22nd in North America and May 25th in Europe. For more information feel free to visit the Official Website.
