Tecmo Koei released a new trailer for Dynasty Warriors 8 featuring more characters, more weapons, more special moves and more horse-flipping action than previous games in the series. The trailer is 20 seconds short of four minutes and gives gamers a nice look at what they can expect from the upcoming title.
In Japan the game is known as Dynasty Warriors 7, but as we all know there are some filler Dynasty Warriors games that aren't considered “canon” and so there is a bit of a sequential discrepancy between the NTSC release and the NTSC-J release, which is why it's Dynasty Warriors 8 for us and Dynasty Warriors 7 for them.
Anyway, STFU and Play spotted the latest trailer from Tecmo Koei, which you can check out below.
The game is scheduled to release in the latter half of February, 2013 for the PS3, so we can only assume that Tecmo will probably localize a release outside of Japan for a late spring or mid summer launch.
Some of the improvements for the game includes new animation sequencing for some of the characters, new weapons, new Musuo rage attacks and new environments.
If you're a Dynasty Warriors geek it's one of the games worth keeping an eye on as it nears release. We'll keep you updated on when a North American date becomes solid.
