People must really, really, really love The Game of Thrones. The soft-porn version of The Lord of the Rings is being converted into a Facebook game, thanks to a deal inked between HBO and Disruptor Beam Studios.
The game will obviously not contain all the adult themed material from the television show of the same name, based on George R.R. Martin's popular book series. Instead, players will venture through the ranks in order to achieve greatness by exploring the land and utilizing strategy to overcome the odds.
Jon Radoff, CEO of Disruptor Beam commented in the press release about the game, saying...
“Everyone at Disruptor Beam was a huge fan of Game of Thrones long before we began working on the game, so we recognize that other fans expect character-driven conflict and intrigue to take center stage in our new game. Westeros is the perfect setting to deliver on our vision of weaving stories through decisions and social interactions,”.
So far there isn't really anything to go by regarding the game. All we know is that it sounds like Game of Thrones Ascent will be identical to Lords of the Realm just with a motif from A Song of Fire and Ice. Players will form bonds with realms, develop land and clash with enemies. That's the basic gist of the upcoming strategy title...typical to just about every other social-strategy game out there.
For now the game is still heavily under development, so if there's something special that leaks out we'll eventually get around to it when the news becomes available. For now you can keep track of the progress of Disruptor Beam on Game of Thrones Ascent by visiting the Official Website.
