Halo 5 Multiplayer Details, Screenshots Leaked

343 Industries is prepping for the Halofest, but before they do so they wanted to give gamers a little bit of a taste and a tease of what's to come from the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta that's due to drop this December.

Before this year's Halofest could get underway there was a bit of a leak that transpired. Three gameplay videos spilled out onto the internet, giving gamers a hint and a tease about what is to come.

The videos are available over on Hardcore Gamer. They're only snippets of gameplay, clocking in at only being a few seconds long, including a look at the game's sprint, some pistol action, a little sniper rifle fun and some battle rifle mayhem.

There's hardly anything within those clips that really changed too much in the way gamers expect to experience Halo 5. However, there was one clip that showcased iron-sighting, or scope-down feature. According to Eurogamer it's something similar to Battlefield.

This sent a wave of relief through the fanboy communities. The idea that Halo would be Call of Dutified was a horror that many gamers simply could not fathom. However, 343 Industries wants to work hard to maintain the natural order in which Halo operates.

In addition to the news about the video leaks happening ahead of the big reveal today, there were some official screenshots made available courtesy of All Games Beta. You can click through to get a taste of what's in store.

For those who don't click through, the basic gist of the screenshots seem to depict a virtual cargo area of sorts that contains plenty of areas to move around through and snipe from. It looks a bit like a throwback to the Hang 'Em High map with a bit more space-station substance and a virtual reality aesthetic to it.

For those of you who are excited about Halo 5: Guardians, you'll be able to partake in the multiplayer beta by purchasing Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It's an incentive for being loyal to the Xbox and Halo brand.

I haven't been all too excited about Halo 5, but I am looking forward to Halo: The Master Chief Collection. I imagine anyone stoked about either one is probably soaking in all the information and getting geeked about it.

You can look for The Master Chief Collection to launch tomorrow, on November 11th, exclusively for the Xbox One.
