The Nintendo DS is getting Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars in two weeks but don't count the PSP out for future GTA games. Sony and Rockstar Games are still friendly.

"That’s a tremendous franchise for PlayStation in general," said John Koller, marketing head for the PSP in North America. "We’ve had two that are the top two sellers on PSP right now. So, there’s definitely continued conversations with Rockstar on all their brands. That’s nothing that’s left the PlayStation family."

GTA: Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories were released for the PSP in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Both were extremely well received so it wouldn't be a shock to see another one. Rockstar wasn't driven into Nintendo's arms by a quarrel with Sony or anything like that. Rockstar and Nintendo have had a relationship that dates back to the Game Boy Color ports of Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto II in the late nineties.
