Tabula Rasa Costs Less Than Dollar

NCSoft's sci-fi MMORPG Tabula Rasa didn't quite make the splash they had hoped for but it's still alive and kicking. This isn't a very promising sign, though: you can now buy the game for $0.96.

That's how much it's going for on Amazon, anyway. If you find a copy in some forgotten corner of your local game store, it's likely priced around $10. Granted, most MMO's make the majority of their dough off subscription fees but if they're doing well they can usually sell the game itself for a decent amount even well after release. Everquest 2, another MMO that launched back in 2004, still costs around $15 on Amazon.

Rasa also comes with a free month of subscription, too, so you're looking at a pretty good bargain here if you're looking to game on the cheap. This arrangement, obviously, isn't very profitable for NCSoft but they're hoping that the low initial financial investment will draw new players in and get them hooked so they'll grow into paying customers. Good luck with all that.
