Epic’s integrated partnership program has a heck of a lot of integrated support for a host of middleware development tools, and the Unreal Engine 3 will now be able to have easy access to stereoscopic 3D integration using DarkWorks’ multiplatform development tool, TriOviz.
Alexis Arragon, TriOviz Product Manager at Darkworks, commented in the press release saying…
"Darkworks is already a recognized leader in the console 3D video game space,"… "Partnering with an industry leader like Epic Games is a huge boost for us and it happens at a time when game developers are looking to create robust 3D experiences to meet growing consumer demand. With this relationship, Epic and UE3 licensees will have 3D stereoscopic capability at their fingertips."The technology works for just about any budget, ranging from those who have the latest and greatest in active 3D stereoscopic televisions, to those who can only afford to see 3D using polarized passive 3D glasses on passive 3D sets. TriOviz is also designed to scale for active 3D gaming platforms such as Nividia’s 3D Vision for PC, the PS3 and even the Xbox 360.
