Before he became a household name with Dwayne Johnson, he was first known as Rocky Maivia and then he eventually evolved into The Rock and then he evolved into The Brahma Bull and then he evolved into The People's Champion and then he evolved into The Great One, the most electrifying man in sports entertainment and it's chronicled quite nicely in THQ's latest trailer for WWE 13.

The trailer follows up on more of the varying story elements that will be present in the new Attitude Era mode, which was originally unveiled back in August. THQ wants to hammer home that this year's game pays a great homage to the greatness of the Attitude Era with a tribute to greats such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Bret Hart, Mike Tyson and HBK, to name a few. Check it out below.

To accompany the new trailer is a fresh set of screenshots so that in case the trailer was blasting past your childhood memories too quickly and leaving nostalgia in the dust, you don't have to rape the replay button, just drop down below and scope out some fresh off the press release screenshots of The Rock in action.

I originally wasn't all that excited for WWE 13 but it's looking like it might be a real nice outing this year around. I'm also hoping that maybe THQ can muster the funds to port a version over to the Wii U.

You can look for WWE 13 and all its Attitude Era goodness (save for all the adult-themed chants, signs, boob-flashing and lewdness that made the era so edgy) when it launches this October for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. Need more info? Feel free to hit up the Official Website.
