Today Relic Entertainment announced the official details on that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine DLC they teased during the holidays. The Dreadnought DLC will be arriving on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC next week.
The Dreadnought add-on pack adds a multiplayer mode called Dreadnought DLC. Two teams fight to control a location in the middle of a map. Capturing the point spawns a Dreadnought, a heavily-armed combat mech. A player must pilot this mech and capture points across the map to score points. When the Dreadnought is destroyed, a new control point will spawn in the center of the map and the cycle will repeat.
The DLC includes three multiplayer maps: Desolation, Dome Mechanicus and Chem Refinery. Players will also find new Achievements and Trophies to earn. You'll get all this for 800 MS Points, or $10.
If you'd rather not spend money, note that free DLC is on the way for Space Marine as well. The Capture and Control mode will be available for no charge. As you might have guessed from the name, Capture and Control tasks teams with taking and defending control points across the map.
Two player skins will be released alongisde these add-ons. The Iron Hands and Death Guard skin packs will make you the prettiest Space Marine at the ball. Each costs 240 MS Points, or $2.99.
The Dreadnought add-on, skins, and Capture and Control Mode will all be released on January 24th in the United States. Europe will receive the content on the following day.
