
A new version of the Xbox 360 wireless internet adapter is now available through retailers. This latest model adds support for the 802.11n wireless networking standard.
Microsoft claims in their press release that the new N standard gives this device twice the range and seven times the speed of the previous 360 adapter. It's intended as a replacement for that older model, actually, as it can be used for 802.11a, b, and g connections as well. The new adapter comes with WPA2 security support as well.
The wireless N adapter is priced at $99.99. Microsoft has confirmed to Joystiq that the remaining 360 wireless G adapters will be sold at a newly reduced price of $80.
