Oscar Season is in full swing, and this year looks like a mixed bag as far as nominations go. With so many vastly different films getting Oscar buzz, it’s really a crapshoot to guess which films will be nabbing nominations, as well as the coveted golden statues.
One method for predicting which films will actually nab Academy Award nominations is by looking to the Producers Guild Award noms. First established in 1990 by the Producers Guild of America, these nominations and awards have been very telling regarding the climate of the film world, and which way the Academy will likely be going.
