Shinya Tsukamoto is back with a follow up to his legendary 1989 film, Tetsuo The Iron Man and its 1992 sequel, Tetsuo the Body Hammer. The director has been making and appearing in movies for a long time and now, after 19 years, returns with Tetsuo The Bullet Man. The latest trailer for the the film from IFC Midnight, be warned, is well... bonkers. If you’re looking for flowers and romance, you won’t find it here.

Bullet Man follows a man’s transformation into a high tech vigilante as he seeks vengeance against the people that murdered his son. That doesn’t sound too wacky until you take the term “transformation” literally and see him morph into a Megatron-like machine, laying waste to his enemies.

Don’t fret at the off-Hollywood look the film has, you’ll quickly be distracted by insanity the likes of which you don’t often see from a film. But then again, it is Japanese. Scope out the crazy below.
