Clooney goes Magnum

The rumors of Tom Selleck's iminent return to the Magnum P.I. franchise have been greatly exagerrated.

It now seems as though he will not be in his short shorts for the series imminent arrival on movie screens. Instead, reports indicate that George Clooney is now "very close" to signing on in Selleck's role in the silver screen update of Magnum P.I.

While it would have been better to see Selleck back in his Ferrari, George Clooney is as good a replacement as you could get for the detecive role. Few men can grow that kind of uber-mustache.

Also rumored to be joining the Magnum revolution is L.L. Cool J as Magnum's helicopter flying, obligatory black buddy T.C.
