Could Pineapple Express 2 Become A Reality?

Looks like it's stoner day here on Cinema Blend. Only a few hours ago we reported that Natalie Portman had signed on to star in her very own pot-fueled comedy, and now signs are pointing towards a sequel for one of the best of the genre from the last ten years.
In an interview with MTV's Josh Horowitz, reporting from the Sundance Film Festival (why is this news only getting to us now?), James Franco said that "practical steps are being taken to actually make it happen." According to the actor, the sequel has been discussed and that it is something that everyone is interested in.
There are certainly two ways to think about this. On the one hand, the film wrapped itself up quite nicely at the end, with no need for a sequel. On the other hand, the film was an awesome mix of both action and comedy with characters that audiences would love to see over and over, especially in similar circumstances. Franco, Danny McBride and director David Gordon Green recently wrapped up their second collaboration with Your Highness, so that may be the best gauge to determine how a sequel would work out. So what do we think? Are we saying "yay" or are we saying "nay" to another adventure on the Pineapple Express?
