Disco With Dewey Cox And Win A Walk Hard Guitar

I’m not sure if I love Cox, but I think I’m starting to like Cox. Dewey Cox and his new movie Walk Hard are everywhere, with the musician biopic out in theaters a month from now. The film is a behind the music, up-and-down-and-up-again story of a musician whose songs would change a nation. On his rock ‘n roll spiral, Cox sleeps with 411 women, marries three times, has 22 kids and 14 stepkids, stars in his own 70s TV show, collects friends ranging from Elvis to the Beatles to a chimp, and gets addicted to – and then kicks – every drug known to man… but despite it all, Cox grows into a national icon and eventually earns the love of a good woman – longtime backup singer Darlene In short, it looks really funny.

In anticipation of you loving this movie and wanting to own a part of it, Gibson Guitars is offering Dewey Cox fans a chance to win his guitar. To do it, you’ll have to create your own Walk Hard music video, and submit it to the guys over at Break.

Because I know you want to rock like Dewey, for inspiration we’re offering up the following clips of Dewey performing his titular masterwork in three different styles. Yep, Dewey Cox is a sellout and at some point in his career he went Disco. Watch Dewey perform “Walk Hard” in disco, punk, and country rock versions below:
