There's a new trailer up for Eragon and it grabs your attention right away. Not with a meandering voiceover or some convoluted tail about some boy who would be king. Nope, instead for the trailer's first shot they just go right ahead and show you their dragon.
You can't really beat that.
Look, I still think the whole Eragon story sounds pretty hokey, but dragons have never been done right on screen and if this movie can at least do that, then it's going to be the movie to see this fall. Someone seems to have figured that out, because this trailer is all about showing off how completely kickass their dragon footage is. No talking, no posturing. Just epic music and a dragon flying, fighting, and breathing fire. It's fantastic.
