Though many of us who are pumped to see the new James Bond film Skyfall are especially eager to see Oscar-winner Javier Bardem as the villain, we really don't know what we're in for. Marketing for the movie has kept Bardem fairly in the shadows, befitting a Bond villain but frustrating those of us who really want to know what he's up to. And though the campaign of secrecy will probably be going strong well until the film's November release, we get a slightly bigger glimpse at Bardem in a new international trailer, which is online now. Take a look below:

There's something about that bleached blond hair that makes him feel like a total creepshow, isn't there? Of course Bardem has proven his villainous bona fides in the past, winning an Oscar for playing the terrifying Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men, but his Bond villain seems a lot more flamboyant and exciting, less an existential force of doom than an able sparring partner to take on Bond. And as we see in the rest of the trailer, Bond is in pretty good fighting shape, traveling all over the world to kick ass and always making sure his suit looks good when the scuffle is over. Damn, that man has a sense of style.

Skyfall is set for release on November 9, which believe it or not isn't even that long from now. With Sam Mendes directing and Daniel Craig, of course, returning as Bond, the level of talent here is off-the-charts-- it's not a question of if Bardem holds his own, but if he has the show stolen out from under him by one of his co-stars. There's a lot to anticipate and a lot to wonder about, but before I get there I'm going to have to do something to make sure Bardem's face doesn't appear in my nightmares. Any tips on that?
