Of all the movies teasing footage during the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night, I’d argue that it was Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 that gave fans their best look at the upcoming feature. Perhaps its because Marvel knows that it’ll have the massive sequel in theaters in mere days. But the studio felt comfortable expanding on a scene we’ve already seen bits of (the decimation of Tony Stark’s gorgeous sea-side mansion), and a 30-second spot pitting Iron Man against his classic rival, The Mandarin (Sir Ben Kingsley). The new clip is above, here's the 30-second TV spot:

The exclusive MTV clip should get the most pub, as it’s the first true look at new footage we haven’t yet seen in previous trailers and TV spots. While we don’t notice Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) as the helicopters are waging war on Iron Man’s California headquarters, we do see Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) trying to get yet another prototype armor up and running, mustering just enough power to launch a piano at a threatening chopper. It looks as bad ass as it sounds.

The TV spot, meanwhile, is titled Life, and it manages to end on that talked-about Hulkbuster armor. The clips manage to show a lot without giving away too much. Which is fine, because the third Iron Man will be bursting into theaters on May 3. Do you need to see any more footage, or are you good to go, with your tickets in hand? Yeah, we thought so.
