The biggest news of 2012 was that the Star Wars universe was returning to cinemas with Episodes VII, VIII, and IX. And while 2013 is still very young, we already have the biggest story of the year right now.

Universal Pictures has announced that they have begun work on Jurassic Park IV and that they will have it ready for theaters on June 13, 2014 and in 3D. There have been rumors circulating for a while now that the franchise would be coming back and last year producer Frank Marshall even suggested that they were aiming to have a sequel ready for summer of 2014. As for Steven Spielberg's involvement, he will serve as a producer on the project. Nothing has been confirmed, but as of December 2011 the film was in development with a script written by Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, The Cell). A director has not yet been named.

Obviously this is insanely huge news and is going to kick start a ton of speculation and rumor. We still don't know who is going to direct the upcoming Star Wars movies, but this project should get just as much attention from the top names in Hollywood.

But who do you want to see direct Jurassic Park IV? What do you want it to be about (hopefully not gun-toting dinosaurs)? Who do you want to see star in it? Are you excited that the project even exists? Join what's sure to be a big conversation and leave your thoughts in the comments section below!
