From the description of the upcoming comedy Two Night Stand it sounds like it's going to be a film with a very small cast. The plot follows two young people (Miles Teller and Analeigh Tipton) who meet online and then sleep together as part of a one night and immediately regret it in the next morning. Unfortunately, they find themselves trapped together due to a raging blizzard. Honestly, when I first read the plot I thought there was a possibility that Teller and Tipton would be the only two actors in the movie, but that theory was shot down today when it was announced that two more actors have joined the film.
Scott Mescudi, best known to hip-hop fans as Kid Cudi, and Jessica Szohr of Gossip Girl fame have both signed on for parts in Two Night Stand, according to THR, and will play the role of boyfriend and girlfriend. Max Nichols, who happens to be the son of Oscar-winning filmmaker Mike Nichols, will be making his directorial debut with the project. Mark Hammer, who is serving as an executive producer on the project, also wrote the script and had it featured on the Black List, the annual collection of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood. Production has already begun on the independent production in New York.
While Kid Kudi is best known for his music, he has collected acting experience in the past few years, starring as Domingo Brown in 16 episodes of the series How To Make It In America. He also recently finished production on Denis Hennelly's Goodbye World, co-starring Argo's Kerry Bishe and Entourage's Adrian Grenier. Since leaving Gossip Girl Szohr starred in Brett Rather's Tower Heist and Dogulas McGrath's I Don't Know How She Does It, and recently played a role alongside Ray Liotta and Michael Chiklis in the thriller Pawn.
