New Lawless Infographic Teaches You How To Make Moonshine

A couple weeks ago, The Weinstein Company decided to do something interesting with their marketing campaign for the upcoming period thriller Lawless. Rather than release the standard poster or still, they instead drew up an infographic that detailed the guns carried by three characters in the movie, from the make to the muzzle velocity. It was a cool thing to see, as creative marketing strategies always get a thumbs up around these parts, and now the studio has struck again with another one, this time dolling out information about the illegal art of making moonshine.

While perhaps not as long as your standard infographic, there's definitely some interesting info provided, the most interesting being a recipe so that you can make your own (probably not recommended). You can check out the image below and click on it to see it full size over on Crave.

Directed by John Hillcoat and based on the novel by Matt Bondurant, Lawless follows the Bondurant brothers (Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, Jason Clarke) as they bootleg moonshine and avoid the eye of both the law and the local gangsters. The film has an outstanding cast that also includes Gary Oldman, Guy Pearce, Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska. The film made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival this May and will be heading into theaters on August 29th. In the meantime, you can read more about it in our Blend Film Database.
