The upcoming Aussie thriller Felony has already established a very strong male cast, with Joel Edgerton, Tom Wilkinson and Jai Courtney already on-board to star in the police thriller, but now it's ready to add some of the fairer sex into the mix. New reports say that Aussie actress Melissa George is the latest actor to sign on for the picture.

The Wrap first reported the casting news. The film tells the story of a police officer who works to hide the fact that he was responsible for an incident that left a child in a coma. Matthew Saville, who wrote and directed the 2007 thriller Noise, is helming the project based on an original script written by Edgerton (the star also wrote The Square in 2008). Edgerton will play the cop who runs the kid off the road while driving home drunk after a gang bust celebration. Wilkinson will play the lead investigator of the accident while Courtney is aboard to play a young detective who is suspicious of Edgerton. There is no description available for the part in the film that George will play. Production is expected to start soon.

The young actress, who previously worked with Saville on the series The Slap, was last featured in Dan Mirvish's Between Us, which co-starred Julia Stiles and Taye Diggs. She is also attached to play a role in the revenge thriller Marble City, which is being directed by Ryûhei Kitamura. That project is still in pre-production and will also star Nicolas Cage and Brad Dourif.
