Liam Neeson has a new actor aboard his upcoming action film Non-Stop. Nate Parker, who can currently be seen in theaters alongside Richard Gere in Arbritage, has signed on for a role in the movie, which will be helmed by Orphan filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra. The film will be the first movie made by Silver Pictures, the new banner created by Joel Silver after his company’s break with Warner Bros. He is now working with Universal Pictures.>Variety, which reported the casting story, says that the story will follow a federal air marshal who is caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse with a terrorist who threatens to kill an airplane passenger every 20 minutes that the hero doesn’t kill himself. Neeson will be playing the air marshal and Parker will reportedly be “a passenger who helps Neeson solve the mystery.”

This project will actually be the second time that Neeson has teamed up with Collet-Serra, as the star had the lead role in the 2011 thriller Unknown. Chris Roach, a longtime producer on the reality series Big Brother wrote the screenplay with John W. Richardson.

Parker, who has previously been in movies like Pride, The Great Debaters and The Secret Life of Bees, recently starred in Spike Lee’s Red Hook Summer and was in Red Tails earlier this year. He currently has two titles in post-production, including David Lowery’s Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, with Rooney Mara and Ben Foster; and Jeymes Samuel’s They Die by Dawn, with Giancarlo Esposito, Idris Elba and Jesse Williams.
