Neville Longbottom’s place in the Harry Potter movies so far has been mostly that of a running joke. In the last movie we started seeing the first hints that there might be something more to him, when he stood up to Voldemort’s invading lackeys on the train and told them, in a kid friendly Rowling way, to fuck off. In the next movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 he’ll get a bigger role, almost certainly, and that’s reflected by the fact that he’s the fourth Potter cast member behind only Harry, Ron, and Hermione (see their posters here) to get his own character poster.

Here’s Neville looking battered and terribly brave:

Note that Harry Potter’s former timid grandma’s boy he has the sword of Gryffindor in his hand. The same sword Ron and Harry went through so much trouble to retrieve from a lake in the last movie, for their fight against Voldemort. Neville’s all grown up and he’s turned into a serious badass. This poster is a promise, a promise that the Harry Potter finale is definitely going to give Neville Longbottom his due… before it all ends.
