Seth Rogen's This Is The End Gets A Hilarious New Red Band Trailer
When you stick Seth Rogen, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill and Danny McBride all in a room together you know that their conversation is going to be extremely funny. But if you put that same conversation against the backdrop of the end of the world it just takes it all to a while new level of hilarious. And in the first trailer for This is The End the crew of comedians make it work brilliantly.
With Judd Apatow's This is 40 in theaters this weekend it's only appropriate that we see a Red Band preview for the directorial debut of Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg. The project is based on the short film Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse and you can get your first restricted look at the new comedy below.
For starters it needs to be said that This is the End is a much better title than The End of the World, as it was formerly known (and now it's much harder to confuse it with Edgar Wright's The World's End). Secondly, I now cannot wait for this movie to come out. I loved watching McBride take down each one of his friends and if they can keep that level of funny going throughout we should be in for a real treat in 2013.
And as an extra treat Sony has also released the film's first poster via Yahoo!, and you can check it out below:
The story begins with James Franco (playing himself) throwing a huge party for all of his friends in his Los Angeles mansion, but things go horribly, horribly wrong when the end of the days suddenly strikes and the survivors must try and survive in the post-apocalyptic world. The list of actors is far too long to put here, but you can find all the names in our Blend Film Database. This Is The End will be in theaters June 14, 2013
