Sin City 2 Probably Sorta Happening Soon, Maybe

As Mickey Rourke has made the rounds to promote The Wrestler, he's also happily talked up the potential of Sin City 2, which he says he's ready for whenever Frank Miller is. It's no surprise, then, that Miller too is ready to jump back on board. During an interview in London for The Spirit, Miller had a big announcement for IGN about his next project.

"Sin City 2 is written. It's mainly a matter of working out the details of the production. I'm hoping to do it with Robert Rodriguez again in the same circumstances that we did the first one, and we could be shooting as soon as April."

That detail about making the movie with Rodriguez under the same circumstances as the first seems to be the sticking point. Rodriguez quit the Directors Guild of America in 2005 when they refused to recognize both him and Miller as the directors of Sin City. Rodriguez has kept working since then, but might that trouble not be worth revisiting? I doubt that'll be the case-- Sin City 2 will probably be happening at some point, at long last. I'm just not getting my hopes up until sets get built and people start showing up for work.
