TV spots are typically pointless. For the most part all they do is mix up all of the footage you've already seen in other trailers and edit it into 30 second increments. It's rare that we get to see brand new footage in TV spots, but The Dark Knight Rises is no ordinary film.

Coming Soon has found the first TV spot for the Christopher Nolan movie and almost everything in it is brand new (including some more dialogue from Bane and a conversation between Batman and Lucius Fox). Watch it below!

The finale of Nolan's Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises pits the Dark Knight against Bane for the future of Gotham City. Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman will reprise their roles from the previous films while this newest sequel also includes Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Juno Temple and Josh Pence. To see more from the title - which hits theaters on July 20th - head over to our Blend Film Database.

UPDATE: Batman-News has gotten their hands on eight new stills from The Dark Knight Rises. You can check out some of them below and head over there for the rest.

UPDATE #2: The Film Stage has gotten their hands on a second TV spot. Check it out!
