Wallace and Gromit May Win Bafta Awards

If you are one of the 3 people who didn’t see Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit, do yourself a favor and head on over to the local video store. The British twosome, consisting of a clever, out of control inventor and his silent, reliable pooch, reigned at the box office when it premiered last year. Then of course, their prop warehouse went up in flames, but let’s focus on the good for now.

According to All Headline News, Wallace and Gromit are up for 2 Bafta awards for their joyous Were-Rabbit movie. They will compete in the Children’s category for ‘Best Movie’ against The Lion, the Witch And the Wardrobe, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

The film is also in the running for the BAFTA Kid’s Vote award, which collects votes of youngsters under the age of 16. They may not be able to buy beer, sleep with prostitutes, or gamble, so at least they can look forward to this. Other competitors include Superman Returns, Nanny McPhee, Chicken Little, Ice Age 2, Over The Hedge, and Cars.

The Children’s BAFTA awards will take place on November 26th at the London Hilton in Park Lane.
