Wanderlust Clip Has Jennifer Aniston's Character Missing Sleeping Pills And Lattes

The the latest clip from the upcoming David Wain directed film Wanderlust raises an interesting topic. Whether by social conditioning or simple human nature, we like to have nice things, and we tend to rely on them to get through our day. But wouldn’t life just be so much easier and simpler if we didn’t “need” those things? Wouldn’t it be nice to just be happy with a basic, relaxed lifestyle where money and material things weren’t a driving force? Of course, a simpler life might mean abandoning lattes and Blackberrys.

After experiencing some financial troubles, Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd’s characters George and Linda find themselves in a commune of folks who like to keep things simple. The contrast between this community and the city life George and Linda left behind could make for some good comedy. We get a taste of that in the clip below (courtesy of Pop Sugar) when the couple interacts with Malin Akerman’s Eva, and Justin Theroux’ Seth...

I suppose chatter about modern technology would be a great way to determine just how long certain people have been separated from the modern world. References to Nintendo Power Gloves and laser discs definitely set the timeline a few years back.

Wanderlust releases in theaters on February 24, 2012. More information on the film can be found in our Blend Film Database.
