Watch Marvel's Heroes Sing Christmas Carols In This Fantastic Mash-Up

Tis the season to be Marvel, fa-la-la-la-la and a ho-ho-Hulk to one and all. Have a mighty Marvel maniac on your Christmas-card list? Send them this clever video instead of a fruitcake this year. It will keep them smiling until The Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in May.

James Covenant created this particular montage using audio from the first two Phases of Marvel movies. The second half is a bit of a cheat, as "Groot" can stand for anything, from the word "Yuletide" to the phrase "Christmas Cheer." The opening of the clip, with Robert Downey Jr. asking JARVIS to drop the needle, is from Iron Man 3, though that scene used to have Tony Stark dancing to Run DMC’s Christmas in Hollis. I wish that version still existed. (It only screened at Comic-Con, from what I can recall.) I never realized how many times Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) said "Christmas" in an Iron Man movie. I guess that's what happens when you work with Shane Black, the undisputed king of Christmas-set movies.

Marvel isn’t the only movie mash up on Covenant’s menu. He also has a viral vid of Captain Picard singing Let It Snow.

And if you have no interest in holiday sing-alongs, then dial up the Star Wars "Call Me Maybe" …

... or the Lord of the Rings-inspired Ke$ha parody!

I’ll leave you with this, true Marvel fan. The Age of Ultron trailer.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good night.
