The Watch Stars Ben Stiller And Jonah Hill May Reunite For Aloha

Ben Stiller and Jonah Hill's talents and senses of humor have collided on screen more than once already. Hill had a small but amusing role in the Night at the Museum follow-up Battle of the Smithsonian, in which Stiller starred and Shawn Levy directed. And the two were both featured among the voices of the 2010 animated film Megamind. Coming soon, we'll see them both featured more prominently together in the upcoming Akiva Schaffer directed comedy The Watch.
Now THR is reporting that their sources say The Watch producer Shawn Levy is looking to have Stiller and Hill star together in a comedy for Fox titled Aloha, with Levy directing and all three mentioned names serving as producers. Details on the development project are being kept quiet at this point, but speculation has it that the island-set comedy will take place in Hawaii. Get Him to the Greek's Nicholas Stoller is reportedly in talks to pen the script, which is based on an idea that Hill, Levy and Stiller worked on while making The Watch.
There's an awkward sort of charm about Stiller's style of humor that Hill seems to have as well in his own way, which may make them a good comedic team on screen. Hill's role in Night at the Museum 2 wasn't a big one, but his moments on screen with Stiller were funny, and I'm hopeful that we'll see even more of that chemistry in The Watch. We'll have to wait and see what other details emerge on Aloha. In the meantime, The Watch hits theaters next weekend (July 27). More information on the film can be found in our Blend Film Database.
