Ryan Gosling’s Video Tour Of The Blade Runner 2 Set Ends With A Very Special Surprise Guest

Say what you will about the upcoming Blade Runner sequel, but you can't deny that it's done a good job of staying shrouded in secrecy. Aside from casting announcements and a couple pieces of concept art, no plot details or new character information has been officially released to the public. However, one of the new stars, Ryan Gosling, just gave us brief glimpse of Blade Runner 2's set in Budapest, and for one lucky fan, the peek doesn't have to stop there.

Like other celebrities before him, Ryan Gosling is partnering with Omaze for a charity campaign, and he's using a Blade Runner 2 set visit to pique our interest. While driving around the sequel's set with the personification of Omaze, who is desperate to drive the golf cart, Gosling plugged the Enough Project, which is working to support peace and justice in Sudan and the Congo, specifically by fighting to end genocide and other crimes against humanity. Making a donation of $10 ore more for the Blade Runner 2 campaign (which also benefits Imerman Angels and The Hummingbirds Foundation) at the Omaze website will enter you in a chance to win a set visit on the blockbuster.

Sadly, there wasn't anything particularly juicy about the locations Ryan Gosling passed by in the video, but the lucky person who wins this contest we'll see a lot more. They'll get to watch a scene be filmed and even drive Gosling's golf cart, a privilege that person Omaze hasn't earned. They'll also get to meet Harrison Ford, a.k.a. Rick Deckard in the Blade Runner universe. Speaking of Ford, he cameos at the very end of the video to tell whoever wins that he's looking forward to seeing them soon with that classic Ford charm. Let's just hope that person Omaze isn't around. They're the the worst!

Whoever wins this lottery will get a much more in-depth tour of the Blade Runner 2 set and enjoy spending time with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, but for the rest of us, we'll be left waiting for more bits and pieces about what to expect from the blockbuster. One of the few plot elements revealed so far is that the sequel is set approximately 30 years after the first movie. At this point, Los Angeles has spread across nearly all of the West Coast and the climate has spiraled out of control, leading to the oceans, rain and snow being toxic. Aside from Ford reprising Rick Deckard, none of Blade Runner 2's other characters' identities have been revealed. Along with Ford and Gosling, the cast includes Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Jared Leto, Ana de Armas, Barkhad Abdi, Mackenzie Davis and David Dastmalchian.

Blade Runner 2 hits theaters on October 6, 2017, and click here if you want to make a donation to the movie's Omaze campaign.
