The Fate of the Furious cast

The Fast and Furious franchise is built on the fact that it has some of the most high-octane, adrenaline-fueled, and ludicrous action scenes out there. Whether it's driving out of a plane for a downward mountain chase or out-speeding a submarine, the series regularly ups itself and produces the craziest action scenes (involving cars) that get butts in seats every time. Instead of enjoying these stunts from the cool comfort of a movie theater, you can soon watch them for yourself in a live setting, because a live Fast and Furious stunt show is going on tour.

Fast & Furious Live is an upcoming live-action stunt show that performs some of the most memorable scenes from the entire Fast and Furious franchise. Professionally trained stunt drivers get behind the wheels of some of the most recognizable cars from the entire series and act out an original story for a live audience. The show will utilize state of the art immersive 3D projection mapping to aid its stuntwork, helping to pull off some of the more physics-defying action sequences from the movies.

The show will feature all-new characters created just for Fast & Furious Live. The story follows street racer Sophia Diaz and DSS Agent Dawson, who join forces to hunt down Cain, one of the last remaining members of Cipher's (Charlize Theron's cyber-villain from Fate of the Furious) crew. Vin Diesel's Dom Toretto will also be involved to some degree. This manhunt will coincidentally take them to several iconic locations from the movies, such as Los Angeles, Tokyo, and even Russia for some old fashion ice driving.

Those who attend the show will see plenty of cars that they'll recognize from the franchise. Viewers can expect to see vehicles from the entirety of the series, such as the Flip Car from Fast & Furious 6, Dom's signature Dodge Charger, and yes, they even have a tank. These, plus many more cars, will be performing some favorite stunts from the series. People probably shouldn't expect to see cars parachuting down into the arena, but Fast & Furious Live is promising certain scenes like the safe-dragging chase in Fast Five and the race against the submarine in Fate of the Furious.

Fast and Furious

Tickets for Fast & Furious Live go on sale on Friday, September 29. The world premiere begins on January 19, 2018, at London's O2 arena before kicking off a global tour that begins in Europe. The tour will hit 23 cities in 14 countries, and considering that Fast and Furious is a massive global success, it's only a matter of time before it arrives in America, too.
