Who Ezra Miller Wants To Fight In Justice League 2

Injustice League

No matter what goes down with Justice League, there's pretty much a 92% chance that a sequel is getting greenlit. The Justice League will be squaring off against Steppenwolf, a proxy for DC super baddie Darkseid, in their first movie with the assumption that they'll be fighting Darkseid himself in the sequel. Whether that turns out to be the case or not, star Ezra Miller has got his own picks for the villain -- or should I say villains -- of Justice League 2. Miller wants to see the evil parallel to the Justice League, the Injustice League, in the sequel.

The Injustice League. I think I can speak for everyone in the League when I say that we're extremely excited by the prospect of continuing this journey. We don't really know for sure, and we're usually the last people to find out, but ... each of the heroes in this movie has specific nemeses, and I think seeing some incarnation of the Injustice League (which includes Lex Luthor, Joker, Deathstroke and more) would be something that DC fans would be pretty stoked about.

Justice League hasn't hit theaters yet, but with the superhero blockbuster tracking for a $110 million domestic opening (a number that could grow), it seems highly likely that plans for a sequel are already in the works. Ezra Miller (The Flash) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) spoke to the Toronto Sun about what their expectations for a sequel and Miller said that he'd love for the Injustice League to feature as the main villains of Justice League 2. He has no idea if that's actually the plan, but he thinks that it's something DC fans would be really excited to see.

For those unaware, the Injustice League is pretty much exactly what it sounds like: the opposite of the Justice League. It's a team of supervillains who take a page from the heroes book and form their own alliance to do crimes and destroy the Justice League. The roster of the team tends to vary, with loads of villains having come and gone, but it is usually made up of the arch-nemeses of the members of the Justice League. Popular members include Lex Luthor, Joker, Cheetah (who Gal Gadot would like to see in a movie soon), Captain Cold, Black Manta, Sinestro, and, like, every Batman villain.

So far, audiences have yet to see a superhero movie that features a team of heroes fighting a team of villains, so including the Injustice League certainly gets points for offering something new. It's definitely a feasible idea too. The DCEU has been slowly building up its character roster, which includes several villainous characters. Lex Luthor and Joker have already debuted, and villains like Deathstroke, Black Manta, and Black Adam are on the way. That kind of character smorgasbord is just too tantalizing to pass up!

Justice League 2 is still years away at this point, but Justice League is less than a week away. The blockbuster is all set to debut on November 17, so pre-order your tickets before then.
