It certainly wasn't a stretch at all for Emma Watson to be cast as the beauty in the upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast movie. One glance at her new Entertainment Weekly cover proves just that. The actress lights up the magazine's latest cover with a fresh-faced close-up that looks like it involved almost no make-up at all. Take a look at the new cover for yourself below.

Thrilled you all get an exclusive first look at my Entertainment Weekly cover! Emma x Beauty and the Beast #BeOurGuest

This is actually the second major magazine cover that Emma Watson has graced this week, and on both she embraced a natural look with very light make-up. Watson is also on the cover of the current ELLE UK issue, on which she stares down the camera in a white top that cinches in corset-like around her waist as strands of her short brown air are windswept to the side. In the fashion magazine, Watson's activism in gender equality is highlighted, as she talks about her year away from acting to focus on promoting women's rights and began her own feminist book club online. But of course, her cover story in Entertainment Weekly is giving fans all they need to know about her highly anticipated turn as the Disney princess Belle in the live action Beauty and the Beast movie being released next month.

In the Entertainment Weekly cover story, Emma Watson details the similarities and differences between the Belle she plays in the new movie, and the animated Belle that we are all familiar with from the 1991 Disney classic. Much like Watson's most famous character of Harry Potter's Hermione Granger, her interpretation of Belle will also be a strong and intelligent woman who is misunderstood by the people around her. In the case of this film, it's the townspeople that ridicule and bully Belle to stop reading and inventing and conform to their way of life. Watson goes on to reveal that although Belle's father Maurice is an inventor in the original cartoon, that character trait is more heavily adopted by Belle in the upcoming remake.

This whole new issue of the magazine just further proves how perfect of a choice Emma Watson was for the part of Belle --- the cover shows that she has the natural beauty, and the interview shows that she has the same fearless intelligence as the book-loving princess. The Emma Watson issue of Entertainment Weekly will hit stands next Friday.
