Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Roger Matthews, her estranged husband, haven't been on good terms lately. The Jersey Shore TV personality and her partner have kept them away from each other -- despite the two children they share -- and their difficulties came to a head just a few days ago. Matthews reportedly filmed JWoww without her consent, and the police were called to their residence. It resulted in JWoww getting a restraining order against Matthews. While she tried to keep this private matter private, she did issue a statement on social media about the troubled situation, explaining what happened. Here's what JWoww said:
While Jenni has refrained from making any public statements relating to her impending divorce, in light of recent events we have decided to make an official statement. Certain events transpired last night which lead Jenni to involve the authorities, as she felt it was in her best interests, and the best interest of her children to do so. Any statements and social media posts depicting anything on the contrary are entirely false, misleading, and intentionally designed to cast Jenni in a negative light.
The Instagram address, which appears to have been written by JWoww's assistant and/or PR team on her behalf, talks about the recent controversy surrounding the television personality. Yet, it opts to refrain from spilling out too many details, respecting JWoww's privacy and best interest at this time.
She is proud to be a hard-working parent who provides for her children. While we have chosen not to comment further, we will note that a judge immediately ruled in Jenni's favor and issued a temporary order of protection last night. Please respect Jenni's decision for privacy in an effort to protect herself and her children during this time.
The details surrounding the situation have been vague. According to TMZ, Roger Matthews and JWoww were having a disagreement and it was getting intense. She got a restraining order against her husband and he was taken off the property by police authorities once the restraining order came through. It was reportedly a shock for Matthews, who found himself allegedly devastated by the whole series of events.
It's apparent from the address that JWoww doesn't want to discuss this personal matter at length, but she wants everyone to know the facts before they start talking about the incident. While JWoww has avoided making specific information public, some of that is outside of her control.
