People often take months, even years, after their engagements to tie the knot. It's rare for folks to get engaged then get married in short order. But The Vampire Diaries and Legacies star Matthew Davis didn't want to wait. A mere three hours after he got engaged, Davis found himself saying "I do."
The wedding news was confirmed on Matt Davis' Instagram, which featured a photo of the Legally Blonde star grinning enthusiastically next to his newly betrothed and wedded wife, actress Kiley Casciano. Turns out, they didn't want to wait when it came time to getting married, and they wanted this Christmas season to be one they remembered. That's certainly the case for the happy couple. They are smiling from ear-to-ear as they are now officially husband-and-wife.
While some people might perhaps see the fast decision as hasty or rushed, others will likely see such a quick declaration of love as deeply romantic. Matt Davis got down on one knee and then walked down the aisle in less than half a day's time. There are very few people who can say they did the same. Whether or not you agree with his fast wedding plans, you gotta admit: He most certainly knows how to make an eventful day for himself.

According to PopCulture.com, Matthew Davis and Ozark actress/yoga instructor Kiley Casciano held the spontaneous wedding ceremony at Albertson Wedding Chapel, which is located in Los Angeles. In the Instagram post, Davis thanks Abbot Kinney for helping the newlywed couple with their hourly wedding plans, which appears to be a pretty beautiful ceremony -- especially when you consider how very fast it came to be.
Every wedding is different, and that's certainly the case for Matthew Davis. And at least this wedding went smoothly, unlike Alaric Saltzman's wedding to Jo on The Vampire Diaries. Davis' character Alaric saw his pregnant bride murdered by her own brother on their wedding day. Now that's a memorable day, although for all the wrong reasons. Alaric is now a main character of The Vampire Diaries/The Originals spinoff series Legacies, and saw his undead bride make a brief emotional return before the midseason finale break.
Matt Davis has said he hopes Alaric can find lasting love on Legacies, the way he has found love in real life.
Matt Davis' perpetually heartbroken Alaric will return with Legacies Season 1 on Thursday, January 24 at 9 p.m. on The CW. Meanwhile, for the latest news in film, television, pop culture, video games and a whole lot more info, be sure to check back with us at CinemaBlend.
