Beyonce has been lying pretty low since the birth of her first child, Blue Ivy, back in January. Which does not mean Beyonce has not been working, quite the opposite, in fact. It simply means she has been a little more out of the public eye, instead working on the launch of Beyonce.com, a site with an interactive component, news, tour dates, and music section as well as links out to Beyonce’s new Tumblr account.
Beyonce herself announced the new site via her first ever Tweet.
“Hey World, It's B! I'm so excited to invite you to my new [site] - we've been working hard, and it's finally ready for you XO.”
As a whole, Beyonce’s site looks nice and unified, but some portions are more standout than others. The performance section, for instance, is lackluster, due to tour dates not being particularly exciting combined with the fact Beyonce really does not have very many gigs coming up. Her interactive “Beyhive” section is also a little suspect, unless you are really into bee metaphors. However, if you are fan of the singer, her Tumblr has a lot of pretty good Kodak moments including vacations and other intimate shots with her husband Jay-Z going for it, as well as a few videos for avid fans.
If there was any doubt before, Beyonce is back. If you can’t catch her live during her upcoming tour dates in May, do see her vicariously through her Tumblr.
