While there are a few places where 2017 faltered from a cinematic perspective, one place where it was remarkably solid was in action set pieces.

The year 2017 saw some fantastic movies released into theaters, and fans should take a moment to thank some of the undersung heroes of the industry: the writers.

This year was full of some truly badass scenes in comic book movies, but these are the ones that genuinely grabbed our attention and wouldn't let go.
