Kim Kardashian spent a long time out of the public eye in 2016 after being robbed at gunpoint while in Paris in October. Season 13 of Keeping up with the Kardashians was briefly put on hold, but now the new season is moving forward soon, and Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner popped up on a recent episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about what the Kardashians will be up to. She also revealed when the series will finally get into all of the feelings related to the Paris robbery. We'll learn more during Episode 2.
In addition, while on Ellen Kris Jenner revealed some of her personal feelings related to shooting the big robbery-oriented episode. Here's what she had to say:
It was devastating. So, when we started filming again and started getting up and running, obviously Kim was around because we all practically live with one another on the same street. We were filming and what was coming out of that was very therapeutic for her I think to just explain to us and walk us through. Now, we just started seeing some of the stuff that had come out of those days... I get choked up just thinking about it, talking about it.
Clearly, everyone in the Kardashian clan is still a little bit shaken up about the incident, which has been in the news in the months following the initial robbery. In fact, photos from the scene of the robbery just broke over the weekend, so Season 13 of Keeping up with the Kardashians should still be pretty timely. The Kardashian clan, including Kim Kardashian, has been pretty open about their feelings related to the robbery in the time since it first happened, but interview coverage and an actual TV episode are two very different things. Plus, from what Kris Jenner is saying, the E! series will be giving us a more intimate look at how Kim Kardashian dealt with the weeks after the robbery.
Beside the drama between Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian, the usual family issues, and all of the talk related to the robbery, Kanye West will also be popping back up in Keeping up with the Kardashians. Kris Jenner told Ellen DeGeneres that he will definitely at least be a part of Episode 2. To find out more about the upcoming season of the E! series, you can watch the full Ellen Show interview.
Keeping up with the Kardashians is scheduled to return to E! on Sunday, March 5 at 9 p.m. ET. To fin out when the rest of your favorite shows are returning, you can take a look at our midseason TV premiere schedule.
