Subscribe To Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Trailer Is Pure Chaos, Watch It Now Updates

There are few show quite as popular as HBO's Game of Thrones. The massive fantasy drama has consistently high viewership and critical success, making the hiatus between season excruciating for the fandom. And while we won't be treated to Season 7 until late into the summer, the first trailer was just released, and it looks like the new season is going to be a real doozy. Check out every sword slash, dragon sighting, and make out session in the trailer below.

Pretty epic, right? The cast and crew have been open about how Season 7 will deliver a much faster paced season to the fans, and this trailer seems to really hammer that point to the audience. And with this season only containing seven episodes, it should be exciting to see how HBO and company fits all that action into the relatively short run.

So what exactly can we expect from Season 7? Let's break it down.

The trailer opens with Cersei and Jaime in King's Landing. With Cersei currently sitting on the Iron Throne, it seems like she's the most powerful she's ever been. But the Lannisters have a ton of enemies, including the Starks in the North, Dany and her fleet in Dragonstone, as well as House Tyrell, House Martell, and Theon and his sister. So if she intends to keep this newfound power, the Lannisters are going to have to make some alliances, a skill Cersei is noticeably lacking.

But with Dany and her army of Dothraki and Unsullied finally landing in Westeros, it's safe to say that Season 7 will contain a ton of medieval battles. The Khaleesi will have to conquer Westeros like her ancestors, which will be done with fire and blood. Smart money says she appeals to Sansa and Jon in Winterfell, as they have a common enemy in Cersei. Then again, if Littlefinger is hanging out in the North as a counsel to Sansa, he may just throw a wrench into that potential alliance. There is a brief shot of Jon confronting him in the crypts of Winterfell, so it's likely that the former Master of Coin will be pissing off everyone's favorite bastard.

Additionally, the above trailer also features quite a few new romantic pairings. In the brief clips, we see Missandei and Grey Worm kissing, although it's unclear how their mutual attraction would work logistically. He's unsullied after all. Additionally, it looks like Oberyn's vengeful widow Ellaria Sand is making the moves on Theon's sister Yara. They're two badass ladies, but I have to fear for Yara's safety. The last time Ellaria kissed someone on screen, it was to secretly poison Cersei's daughter Myrcella on Dorne.

Overall, it looks like Game of Thrones will be a wild ride for Season 7. The season will premiere on July 16th, 2017. Be sure to check out our full summer premiere list, and don't miss your summer shows' return.
