2012 SAG Award Winners Include Casts Of Modern Family And Boardwalk Empire

The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place last night, awarding some of the industry’s most talented actors for their efforts in film and television over the last year. In the TV categories, it was a good year for HBO, with Boardwalk Empire winning multiple awards, as well as a win for Mildred Pierce.

As SAG is all about the acting, the awards are all about the on screen talent, and for drama this year, that meant big pats on the back to HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, which won for Best Actor (Steve Buscemi), and Best Cast. Meanwhile, Jessica Lange managed her to follow up her Golden Globe win for American Horror Story by taking the Actor for Best Actress, TV Drama.

As for the comedies, while Modern Family won the SAG award for best cast, Hot in Cleveland’s Betty White and 30 Rock’s Alec Baldwin won the Best Actor awards.
