Fox recently announced that the sixth season of ‘24’ will premiere on January 14th and 15th. Like last season, the first two hours of Jack Bauer’s new “worst day ever” will take place the first night and then two more hours will air back to back the following day. After that, the episodes will premiere in the usual one-hour episodes.

‘24’ had an extremely successful run last season. In addition to earning itself the higher ratings than it has in previous seasons, the show was also awarded with the Emmy award for Best Drama. The show wasn’t the only thing that finally got its dues at the Emmy’s this year. Kiefer Sutherland took home the award for Best Dramatic actor for his role as Jack Bauer.

The last we saw of Jack Bauer, he was “arrested” (captured would probably be a better word for it) by the Chinese government and he was on some cargo ship headed to parts unknown (presumably Siberia or some other remote place).

A trailer for the new season will be available at www.24trailer.com on October 24th.
