The Conners is no stranger to big-name guest stars, having already welcomed Sons of Anarchy vet Katey Sagal. The actress returned for Season 2 as Louise, who struck up a close bond with Dan. Between Sagal and Johnny Galecki, who does Sara Gilbert have in mind next? On who she would like for a Season 3 guest spot, Gilbert told Variety she wants Lisa Kudrow, saying:
She knows. I’ve told her, so I’m making it my mission. She’s actually a big fan of the show, which means the world to me. I just think she’s such a comedic genius.
How perfect is this? Sara Gilbert wants Friends’ phenom Lisa Kudrow to guest star in Season 3. If you were worried that the chances of Kudrow putting in an appearance on The Conners were slim, think again. Gilbert shared that Kudrow is aware of her desire to have on the ABC show.
Adding to the potential of Lisa Kudrow guest-starring on The Conners is that Sara Gilbert revealed Kudrow is a “big fan” of it. Gilbert has nothing but glowing things to say about Kudrow and her talent, so one would hope there is a chance this could happen for Season 3.
Lisa Kudrow is currently waiting for that Friends reunion special for HBO to be able to film. The same story is applying to many shows at the moment. For now, the question is: how Kudrow would join Sara Gilbert and her co-stars from The Conners in Season 3? It's not impossible!
While The Conners’ live episode did not happen that long ago, why not do another one for Season 3? Last season, the show introduced Dan’s younger brother, Little Ed. If he resurfaces in Season 3, Lisa Kudrow could come along with him. It is safe to say that The Conners would be able to figure all of this out.
All they need is for Lisa Kudrow to agree! In an interesting side note, Kudrow is not the only Friends star that other sitcom actors have wanted to have guest-star on their show. Kaley Cuoco’s dream guest star for The Big Bang Theory was also a Friends star. In Cuoco’s case, it was Jennifer Aniston.
The Conners is set to return for Season 3 sometime this fall. New episodes will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Stay tuned to see if Lisa Kudrow ends up stopping by. While you wait for the show (and its titular family) to come back, you can enjoy what this summer’s premieres have to offer you.
